| The Threshold of th Mystery and Its Guardians |
|
The structure of all the creation gives, at first sight, the impression of a vast machine ready to spring and to entrap whoever ventures unprepared and untrained over the “Threshold of the Mystery”. This Threshold is inevitable, it is a fatal experience, because whoever, either dead or living, draws near to the metaphysical, mystic or initiatic experience, passes through it. We have compared the world beyond the Threshold to a dreadful and dangerous trap, but we wish to specify that this is part of the economy of the creation, in our defense and in defense of the creation itself, so that no Law, rhythm or cycle is disturbed. Therefore, in front of and behind man, over his head or under his feet, on the right and left side, there is a fathomless abyss which only God knows where it begins and ends: an abyss of diffuse, spectral, changing light, a kind of fluidic ocean inside of which each of us, like a diver, moves after death and, during our life, in dream, in the trance. This ocean is the defense which blocks access to the Kingdom of God, the moat around the walls of the castle of God, until the visitor has earned, with his personal effort, the quality of the Hero and will know how to use the flaming sword of the Cherubim. This world of Mystery, this frightening abyss, that the Archeosopher must cross, as an Adept or Adeptess, without alarm and without harm, to go and take the gift that God has promised to the victor, can be visited and explored entering a secret door, from which one renters in this world, after having won a new character, a new consciousness and a new wisdom. We are writing about a Threshold that leads to the fluidic soul of the earth, the double current of the mercurial light, the so-called astral light, that the Christian Mystics adumbrated under the figure of the snake, the head of which must be crushed. From this ocean of astral light the Guardian of the earth will emerge, showing itself and punishing whoever dares to cross its Threshold. It is the Draco Magnus of the Scripture and of the Apostolic Tradition, the Guardian outside the Gate of Heaven who, night and day, guards against the dead and living who wish to enter but have not purified themselves enough to be deemed worthy; it is the astral current that does not pardon the good who does not become bad and the bad who does not become good. Whoever fights with it, that is, with the Guardian, either wins or dies. excerpt from "THE THRESHOLD OF THE MYSTERY AND ITS GUARDIANS" |
