Apart from the risks of neurovegetative dystonia due to the strain on the organism, especially the lungs, heart and the innervation of the Vagus, which are faced by careful and methodic exercises in preparation of the hyperpnea and the hyperapnea, there are other dangers. The double, once it leaves and distances itself from the physical body, is prey to many snares.

The cord, or silver thread, is subject to the dissolvent powers of sharp points, globular lightnings, and to traumatism caused by a bullet or the cut of a sharp weapon. While the Ego contains the superior principles of the being, the rest is matter in the energetic state, therefore subject to the disturbances of material forces.

 

The crossing of a battlefield can involve a danger of wounding and also of the breaking of the silver thread, because a bullet, crossing it, may cause a mortal repercussion on the physical body.

 

At the start, the insecurity of moving around in a new environment entails bruises and wounds to the body because the ghost of the living bangs against edges of walls, taut wires and other objects. As long as you are sure and fearless you will pass even through a wall like an X ray, unscathed, but if you are afraid of bumping into it, you will become solid, there and then, smash your face and wake up with a bruised face.

 

The subject must avoid going to visit someone without knowing their reaction, without having told them before, because the visited person could shoot or hit you with a blunt instrument, and there will be repercussions on the physical body, which is connected to the double through the cord.

 

The Elementals, the Larvae, the wicked inhabitants of the astral world, the Guardians of the Threshold are dangerous because they terrify, persecute, obsess whoever is not strong, courageous and pure. For the cowardly also madness can occur.

 

These experiences are the privilege of the Initiates and of those who can risk, because they have a strong will and have purified the heart, the mind and the senses, and therefore enter and leave as masters and Gods that hereafter which penetrates the earth itself, all the solar system.

 

Out of Body Experience is a psycho-physical phenomenon, independent of moral perfection; but to find oneself in the presence of Saints or Devils, happy or terrified, illuminated or clouded over, is dependent on the adherence, or not, to God.
