Etheric Body
The “ethereal or vital fluidic Body” is the true energetic double of the material body. Man has it in common with plants and animals. It is the maker of every living organism, not a product of the physical body. In fact, when this definitively withdraws from it the body goes into decay, from living becomes a corpse.

For man and plants it is the force of rhythm, growth and reproduction. In outline it resembles the physical body but exceeds it a little; it is more or less luminous and ethereal; its organs fit with those physical, always exceeding them a little in volume, and they are made of vital currents of different colors, varying with the state of health and of the heart.

It is photographable in certain environmental conditions, or observable with dicyanin screens. It is what the medium or clairvoyant sees when it leaves the body of a dying person and it joins with the other energetic bodies (the emotive and the mental), Bodies which in successive phases will abandon also this etheric.

On this point, if you have a Bible at hand you can read in Ecclesiastes, XII, 6, which speaks of the breaking of the “Silver Cord”: “… because the man goes to his eternal home…before that the Silver Cord is snapped, that the Golden Bowl is shattered, that the pitcher is broken at the spring or the wheel falls into the well; before that the dust returns to the earth, as it was, and that the Spirit returns to God who gave it”.

The priest and the Initiate, with their hands, work on this body during the rites of consecration or of the liberation of undesirable forces. As does the healer, the psychoanalyst or the hypnotist. The etheric effusions of the fingers shape the etheric body in the points where these effusions arrive.

On the etheric body there are zones or, better, vortexes, which have a correspondence in the body of Desire, in the mental Body and in the Causal Body , whilst regarding the physical body there is a correspondence in some internal secretion glands and certain nervous plexi.

The most important are seven. They become visible and revealable by instruments only when they are awake, that is, active.
