According to Archeosophical psychology the man and the woman, as well as having a physical body, are penetrated by other material bodies, but in an energetic state, with very specific functions: etheric body , astral or emotional body, mental body . 

These are at the service of three personal and immortal forces: spirit , emotive soul and erosdynamic soul . Of these, the emotive soul is the center of gravity of the emotive sphere of the consciousness.

 

Moses and the Kabbalah (traditional esoteric teaching of the Bible) call it RUAH, and Saint Paul, like Origen, calls it psyche. It is rational, governing the feelings, the imagination, morality, memory and passions. In us, it is the conscious part, that which thinks and reasons, generates voluntary actions and gives to our human existence its responsible and personal character.

 

The emotive soul is made of intelligible primordial matter , it dwells in the heart and is welded to the spirit and the erosdynamic soul. In the perfect Initiate, in the Saint, it obeys the spirit and the attraction for God; in sinners, it is the turning away from God and obedience to the erosdynamic soul and the evil.
