Born in Pisa on 16 February 1915 at 9.45 a.m. of the N. H. Carlo Palamidessi, Senior Officer of the Army and of the poet Luigia Tagliata, baptised on 7 March, Tommaso Palamidessi studies on the works of Hermes Trismegistus, Plotinus, Origen and Vladimir Sergheevic Soloviev.
A deliberately self-taught man, he was attracted since he was an adolescent by practical astronomy, astrology, medicine, pharmaceutical botany and by religion. These disciplines were for the writer moments full of enthusiasm in Catania and in Tripoli (Libya) in 1928, then in Syracuse and in Turin between 1932 and 1940.
